  Sequences, Series, and the Binomial Theorem



  In Chapter 11 of Bittinger/Ellenbogen's Intermediate Algebra, two concepts are introduced: Sequences and Series, and The Binomial Theorem. There are explanations of arithmetic and geometric sequences and series, and then the Binomial Theorem is applied using multiple values. A real world application involves theater seating and determining the number of seats using sequences and series.
